Contact Campers

There is not a community phone at camp.  All campers will receive multiple contact numbers prior to the week of camp.

To write a camper:

Camper's name
c/o Lake of the Ozarks State Park
P.O. Box 170, Kaiser, MO 65047
In the lower left corner write, "Attn: FC MO Camp, Camp Rising Sun"

It takes a long time for mail to be delivered at camp.  It is best to send mail a week in advance.  Please specify which day you want a camper to receive that mail.

From Kansas City area (approx. 3 hours)

• I-70 East to the Boonville/Tipton exit (exit 101)
• Right on exit 101 (19.5 miles)
• Turn left onto Hwy 5 at the 'T' (4.3 miles)
• Turn right at the first stop light and stay on Hwy 5 (there is a Breaktime on the corner) (14 miles)
• Hang left onto Hwy 52 at the fork in the road towards Eldin (14.5 miles)
• Turn right (at a stoplight with a McDonalds on the corner) to stay on Hwy 52 (approx. 3 miles)
• Turn right onto Hwy 54 to go into Osage Beach
• Turn left on Route 42/134 (after Lowes) (5 miles)
• Turn right onto Hwy 134 (State Park Entrance) (1.2 miles)
• Turn right onto Whispering Oaks Drive and go to the back of the park to Camp Clover Point (see map at the bottom of this page)

From St. Louis area (approx. 3 hours)

• Take I-44 west to Hwy F (exit 135)
• From there, turn right (north) onto Hwy F (4.6 miles)
• Turn right onto Hwy BB (2.4 miles)
• Turn right onto Hwy 5 (17.6 miles)
• Turn right onto Hwy 54 (14.2 miles)
• Turn right onto Route 42/134 (5 miles)
• Turn right onto Hwy 134 (State Park Entrance) (1.2 miles)
• Turn right onto Whispering Oaks Drive and go to the back of the park to Camp Clover Point (see map)

From Springfield area (approx. 2 1/2 hours)

• Take I-44 east to Lebanon (exit 129 - Hwy 64/32/5)
• From exit 129, turn left onto Jefferson Ave (26.1 miles)
• Turn right onto Hwy 54 (14.2 miles)
• Turn right onto Route 42/134 (5 miles)
• Turn right onto Hwy 134 (State Park Entrance) (1.2 miles)
• Turn right onto Whispering Oaks Drive and go to the back of the park to Camp Clover Point (see map)
